Hopkinsville, KY is located in Christian County and today, it is home to some 33,000 people. The city of Hopkinsville was first settled in 1796 by a couple from Tennessee by the names of Bartholomew and Martha Ann Wood. Bartholomew had worked in the American Revolutionary War on 1,200 acres of what is now Hopkinsville, leading him to stake claim.
