Meet the Pharmacist Mike Cayce who is locally homegrown is the son of Granville and Billie Lee Watson Cayce. Mike was raised in a strong family environment. Mike attended Hopkinsville High School where he participated in several sports: football, track and swimming. Mike was also Student Counsel President in his senior year. After graduating in 1972 Mike started classes at Hopkinsville Community College later transferring to Murray State and finally graduating from Mercer School of Pharmacy in Atlanta, Ga in 1978.Mike continued to work for a while in the Atlanta area, but decided to return home to friends and family where he established Cayce's Pharmacy in 1981. Mike is happily married to Helen, who is a Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the local area. Mike has two children, Jessica and Lucas and a step-daughter Stephanie. Outdoors is where Mike likes to spend his free time: hunting, fishing and swimming. When he's not outdoors Mike is a community leader serving on the Boards of St. Luke's Free Clinic and Christian County Health Department. Being devoted to the community, his customers and the local area has made Mike one of the most generous and successful business leaders in the Christian County area. Mike believes in loyalty and dedication to his customers and patrons and strives to meet the growing needs in the area today. In the pharmacy setting he has become a true Hometown Pharmacist where he and his loyal staff are always up to date and ready to serve the community. Mike Cayce -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chuck Cummins a Hopkinsville native attended Christian Co. High and was involved in football and a trumpet player for the CCHS band. After graduating high school in 1976, Chuck went to Mercer School of Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1981 Chuck graduated pharmacy school and continued to work in the Atlanta area for a while before deciding that the big city life was not for him and returned home to Hopkinsville. Chuck worked for some big name chain drug stores for several years and traveled all over the Southern US as a District Supervisor setting up new pharmacies. For Chuck's devoted service he was named District Supervisor of the Year, several years in a row. After years of travel, Chuck left the corporate world to settle in at home with Cayce's Pharmacy. Anyone who knows Chuck, knows he is a DIE HARD FISHERMAN. We like to call him FISH KING. Chuck also likes to aggravate Debbie Barger about using her pet goldfish, who lives in her office at Cayce's, for bait. He also enjoys hunting and being outdoors. Chuck is also very techno-savvy and likes working on and with computers. Chuck Cummins -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Harry Weathers who was born and raised in Todd Co attended Todd Co. Central High. A talented trumpet player, Harry was actively involved in the TCCH band. Harry attempted to purchase a diploma on the internet, however Al Gore had not invented it yet, and went on to graduate in 1974. Harry attended Community College and later transfered to Samford University in Alabama, where he completed his degree.Graduating in 1980, Harry returned to Elkton to help run his family's drug store. Rich with history and family values Weathers Drugs, established in 1875 by E.B. Weather's Harry Great Grandfather, ran successfully for many years. Harry who worked side by side with his father, Jimmy, continued on the family business until May 1999. Harry and the Weather's family decided to sell the oldest family owned business in the state of Kentucky so they could spend more time with family and enjoying life. However after a short break, Harry decided to go back to work and joined the Cayce's family in June 1999.Harry and his lovely wife Kris are deeply rooted in Todd Co and recently built a new home. In May 2006 Harry and Kris welcomed a bundle of joy, Jackson Bruce to their happy home their hometown roots. In Harry's spare time he enjoys reading and working with computers. Harry also volunteers regularly at St. Luke Free Clinic. Harry Weathers -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Melissa Cayce was raised in Bowling Green, where she graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2006 with majors in biology and chemistry. Afterward, she attended Mercer University College of Pharmacy and was an active member of Rho Chi Pharmaceutical Honor Society and Kappa Epsilon Pharmacy Fraternity. She married Bart Cayce in October 2009 and graduated from Mercer in May 2010. Together they have 2 wonderful dogs and 10 amazing nieces and nephews. When she isn't working she is involved in Hopkinsville Junior Auxiliary and enjoys traveling, spending time with family and embroidering. Melissa Cayce -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dick is a Trigg county native who has been a practicing Pharmacist in Hopkinsville for over 40 years. Even though currently semi-retired he enjoys working a couple of days a week to see everyone. Dick is happily married to Cydonna and together they have raised three sons: Rick, John and Justin and two daughters-in-law Michelle and Angela. Dicks is also known as Gramps to a very special Grandson, Logan. Dick is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. He has served in several positions of leadership in the Pennyrile Pharmacist Association as well as a three year term on the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Pharmacist Association. Dick participated in sports at both the high school and college level and still maintains a strong interest in them, especially all of the U.K teams and St. Louis Cardinal baseball. Now the only sport Dick participates in is golf, which he admits he is classified as a hacker at best. Dick is a 50+ year member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Trigg Co and is also a retired military veteran, having served as an Army officer in the 60's. In life and as well as work Dick has always attempted to follow the Golden Rule; errs -- treat them as he would want to be treated. Dick Vinson -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clint Joiner was born and raised in Hopkinsville and is the son of Rocky & Phyllis Joiner. Clint graduated from Christian County High school in 2001 and in 2006 he received a BS degree from the University of Kentucky. Clint was accepted to the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy and while attending, joined the Kappa Psi fraternity and graduated in 2010 with a doctorate in Pharmacy. Clint had worked at a chain drug store and as a “fill in pharmacist†at several locations before deciding to make a home at Cayce's Pharmacy. While Clint is relatively new to the Pharmacy profession, he brings a great deal of knowledge and modern ideals. Clint is certified to give vaccinations and is our “shot guruâ€, moving us forward in the practice of Total health maintenance. Clint is an avid golfer and when he's not buried in a sand trap, he is a devoted husband to his wife Ashley and their boxer puppy named Ryleigh.
